DanceCubesII is a videoart piece that combines algorithm-based images of 80’s movie star Ornella Muti, created by co-creation software, and a half-visible dance performance of the young Ornella Muti from a Spanish B movie published in 1974. The resulting artwork showcases an unseen visual language, with radical colors and unusual aesthetics. DanceCubesII was screened at several film festivals and tech events including the 27th International Symposium on Electronic Arts Barcelona and the International Digital Art Festival (IDKF) Stuttgart.
Ayerle's main idea was the human part of the piece. The co-creation software added a layer of unpredictability and chance to the work. The combination of the two image streams creates a unique and surreal viewing experience.
